But espionage techniques don’t have to depend on such intricate devices. Real-life spies have employed more analog methods—writing invisible messages with acidic liquids such as lemon juice is one of them. You can use milk, too, but the science behind it is not the same....

Leondios Kostrikis, a biological scientist at the University of Cyprus, says he and his team found 25 cases of coronavirus infections that displayed mutations in the virus’s genetic signature, reminiscent of both the Omicron and Delta variants. The Hill reports that, according to the EPA, the “leaked, preliminary draft version” of the proposed change published in The New York Times does not accurately reflect the agency’s submission to The White House.
